Homework will be turned in on the day that it is due which will almost always be the following class period. Homework is considered late if it is not completed by the start of the class period for which it is due. If it is not completed, the student will have one additional day to complete the assignment, but the grade will be reduced by 15 points (this includes turning in the assignment after the time of collection on the day that it is due). After that, the student will receive a zero.
Please note that the school's homework policy is based upon the idea that the teacher at the end of the day is the final source of all homework assignment information. Information on the school web site is an aid to disseminating homework information, but last-minute changes, last-minute assignments or continuation at home of class work assignments not completed that day may not appear on the web site. The information contained here should not be used to preempt or limit the assignments any teacher makes in the classroom. Also, since all students have access to their teacher for first-hand homework information and assignments, errors on the web site or web server downtime will not exempt any student from any assignment. And, of course, no student will be penalized if there is a family emergency, personal illness or other ample excuse for missed homework, but the student or parent must communicate the reason to the teacher in a timely manner.
